2009 was the first time the journey to the NCAA Tournament came to the Dakotas, and oh what a trip that was!  The South Dakota State woman won an exciting game to advanced to their first ever NCAA Tournament and the North Dakota State men, won by a buzzer beater to punch their ticket to the big dance. In 2010 the SDSU Women retained their crown, while Oakland Unversity men's team earned their first trip the the NCAA Tournament. In 2011 both the South Dakota State University women and the Oakland University men defended their Summit League Crowns and advanced on to the NCAA Basketball Tournament. Record attendance, exciting games and an unbelievable atmosphere was the theme in 2009, 2010 and again in 2011 as the Sioux Falls Arena was rockin session in and session out!
